You people are against everything!" VB, Dublin, CA Note from Barbara Hickman: This comment was from a Dublin woman, a so-called community leader, whom I invited to be a guest on our program. She complained that our guests are all one-sided, yet she refused to come on the program and give her point of view. I reminded her that each week we invite anyone to come on, no matter what their position, and that each week we state that "opinions expressed on the program are those of the speaker" and not of our staff, but she insisted that "you people are against everything!" She added that she is a member of the CTV30 Board of Directors and she believes that our guests' opinions should not be aired, nor should they be published in a "Letters to the Editor" section of any newspaper, simply because they "are against everything!" That comment is solid evidence that our program is needed! Since she is a member of CTV30's Board of Directors, albeit just one member, it also makes me wonder if CTV30 censors their guests' comments, disallowing anything that is not consistent with their own philosophy. I have no proof, of course, but I do wonder. "The program last night was very interesting - I'm impressed. You guys are doing a great job! This is a much needed service. Thank you."
